Are You Fighting Yourself?

Cat fightThere's a lot of advice out there, and yes here too. It's hard to know which to take and which to leave alone. But just because other people take that advice doesn't mean you should too, especially when it means going contrary to who you are.

Watch this video about a conversation I had with one of my friends where he told me he discovered who he really was, and how that has helped him to become extremely productive and open.

After you watch the video let's talk about it in the comments below.

Let's talk! What do you think about this?

  1. Thanks for your video, Robert. I really appreciate the information that you always give out.

With all the blogs and amount of information that people read especially the new bloggers, it’s hard to know what really is going to work and not work for us. As you said, we might not be doing anything wrong but the method might be. I guess we just have to find people that we can truly trust and put our efforts into their methods.

  2. Hey Robert,

You crack me up! “… because I could talk about me all day…” 😀

I’ve been online since 2007 and it is STILL a journey of discovery. I’ve learned that I can write and that I have a unique voice and style. I’ve learned that I can overcome shyness and do things I didn’t think I could do. I’ve learned that I, too, love marketing.

It’s hard when you start, and you do fumble around for a bit figuring out what your strengths really are and how you can give value above the noise. Nothing shuts you down faster than trying to be someone else. If you keep envying others who are farther along in their journey, it blows your self-confidence. I think it’s wise to learn sound business practices and adjust them to fit you. One size does not fit all.

You know, I will always be “behind” some of the big name marketers. But I will also be ahead of other marketers. Timing can never be perfect for all my projects.

    Okay, back to you, Robert!

  3. I really started to blog 3 years ago, after about 6 months I threw my hands up. Today I have been back at it since 11-19-2010, two weeks into it I decided that I was going to blog about what it is that I am finding and being told, as well as try to show people that you really don’t need to buy a “Home Business In A Box” like I have both times. I have not figured out how to get product up on my hosting site yet nor have I figured out how to even get an opt-in on my blog yet. I will its just a matter of time. My point is that I am a redneck truck driver that knows that people are earning money doing this, and you see reports all the time about how you can earn 6-8 thousand bucks in just 4 weeks, and you can but not just starting out. I have been sharing the tips and techniques I have been taught to others for free, Why because I believe that in the long run I will have helped many others while at the same time I will become the blogging giant I am after and the “Home Business In A Box” companys will hate.
So maybe I am fighting myself, but I am content that in the end I will see more earned income than I would to follow the norm.

Hi Patrick thanks for your comment. It doesn’t sound like you’re fighting yourself, just learning curve. I’m sure you’ll find what works for you as long as you keep trying. I think the true measure is that if you really hate what you’re doing, then you’re fighting yourself.

Keep on truckin my man and keep helping the people!
